Changes to Your 2017 eCQM Reporting Requirements

Just when you thought you had it all figured out, they change their mind. If you hadn’t already heard, both CMS and The Joint Commission have changed their eCQM requirements for the 2017 reporting period.

At the beginning of August, CMS released their 2018 IPPS final rule which lowered the eCQM requirements for the Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) program. Then, in mid-August, The Joint Commission followed suit, lowering the requirements for their ORYX ® initiative for quality improvement program.

In this slideshow, we review the changes made to the eCQM requirements for both CMS and The Joint Commission for your 2017 reporting period.

[JOINT WEBINAR WITH NAHQ]

When: Thursday, September 7
1 p.m. ET | 12 p.m. CT | 10 a.m. PT

The requirements for regulatory programs have intensified year over year. IQR, OQR, MACRA, MIPS; the list of acronyms goes on and on. It’s difficult to keep up with these ever-changing requirements.

While this session will primarily focus on hospital and ambulatory care quality reporting in 2018, there are lessons on regulatory reporting that reach across the continuum of care. You’ll learn about the changes to the inpatient and ambulatory quality reporting programs and how they may impact care across the continuum. We will outline strategies that will help you prepare your hospital and clinicians for your best, most efficient reporting year yet.
